My Story
I picked up my first camera at nineteen, mostly to have an excuse to talk to strangers. Somewhere between the first paid wedding and the thousandth lifestyle session, it became less about the excuse and more about the quiet moments in between — the ones people don't pose for.
I work primarily in natural light, shoot mostly on film alongside digital, and I'm drawn to subjects who'd rather be photographed candidly than told exactly where to stand. My approach is unhurried: I spend the first twenty minutes of any session just talking, because the best frames come after everyone stops performing.
When I'm not shooting, I'm probably hiking somewhere in the foothills, reading, or scanning negatives at 1am.
Philosophy
I'd rather deliver one real, slightly imperfect frame than ten technically perfect but hollow ones.
Every session is built around the light available — golden hour, window light, an overcast sky. It shapes everything.
Minimal posing, maximum presence. The goal is always a photograph that looks and feels like you.
